The concert will be one of the first major international events at One New Zealand Stadium, which is on track for completion in April.
Frontier Touring said the band will return to Australia and New Zealand next summer, playing stadium shows across Brisbane, Townsville, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide in November 2026, before heading to Christchurch, Auckland and Perth in January 2027.
The Christchurch show will be licensed all ages.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday 25 February at 12pm local time through axs.com/nz.
Wellington band Dartz and Dunedin act Seek Help! will join the Christchurch bill as special guests.
The Foo Fighters, currently made up of Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin, have visited New Zealand several times.
They were last here in January 2024.
