A woman has been found dead after failing to return from a tramping trip near Fox River on the West Coast.
Senior Sergeant Mark Kirkwood of West Coast Police said the 27-year-old woman left for her tramp on Thursday and was reported overdue on Saturday morning.
Police were called to the area about 6am, and her vehicle was found at the Fox River car park.
A search operation was launched involving Police Search and Rescue, a helicopter, a Land Search and Rescue dog team, and local Surf Life Saving members.
She was located nearby by a Police Search and Rescue team member.
Work is continuing to formally identify her, and her death will be referred to the Coroner.
