The Uber Eats app stopped working across Christchurch this evening, preventing users from placing or tracking orders.
Many reported that the app displayed the message: “We’re coming soon. We are always expanding our coverage area. Please check back in the future.”
According to DownDetector.co.nz, reports of problems with the app began climbing just after 5pm, showing a sharp spike in outages across New Zealand.
Most of the issues related to the mobile app.
Several restaurants confirmed they were unable to receive orders through the platform.
As of 5pm, Uber had not issued an official statement about the outage.
