A two-year-old child and an adult have died following a devastating house fire in Rakaia Saturday.
As first reported by chrislynchmedia.com, emergency services were called to the property about 11.15pm
The body of the adult was located at the property.
The two-year-old was airlifted to Christchurch Hospital but died on Sunday from their injuries, according to a relative.
A St John spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media they responded with an ambulance, a rapid response unit, a first response unit, a PRIME vehicle, a manager, and a helicopter.
