Hummingbird Coffee Roasters $200K for charity / Supplied

Hummingbird Coffee Roasters has been brewing social goodness for more than 20 years.

They were the first coffee brand, alongside Trade Aid, to import fairtrade coffee into New Zealand. Decades later all their beans remain 100 percent organic and they continue to pay a fairtrade premium to farmers around the world.

Hummingbird also operates its Green Bean Fund, which donates $1 from every $100 of coffee purchased to New Zealand-based community initiatives.

This year they are paying forward $200,000 from the fund in one big chunk and need your help to decide where it goes.

Throughout September, you can ‘Vote for Good’ once each week and here’s how:

Head to their Instagram page, where you can vote through their stories, or on their Facebook page you will find the ‘Vote for Good’ poll pinned to the top of the page.

The three charities to vote for:

Your donation will help keep Youthline’s 24/7 Helpline running, so that young people always have somewhere to turn to.

Your support will help fund critical work involving environmental advocacy, education, legal action and hand-on conservation efforts.

‘Vote for Good’, Voices of Hope / Supplied

Voices of Hope is a storytelling platform that amplifies the voices of those with lived experience of mental health challenges. Through impactful content, online social campaigns, community events and public speaking, Voices promote understanding, encourage help-seeking behaviours, and remind people “It’s not weak to speak.” Your support will help create powerful, lived-experience content, bring community events to life, and provide resources to organisations working with youth.
