A person has been seriously injured after falling down a mine shaft on the South Island’s West Coast.
A St John spokesman told chrislynchmedia.com they notified of a fall incident on SH 7, Dobson, at 11:02 today.
“One ambulance and one operations manager are on scene.”
Firefighters from Greymouth and Brunner Station attended the scene.
“One patient, in serious condition, is being transported to Greymouth Hospital” the spokesman said.
