A crash has closed the Geraldine-Fairlie Highway at Skipton Bridge in Canterbury this evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 9.35PM following a single-vehicle crash.

One person sustained moderate injuries and is being treated.

Police said the road will remain closed for some time while the scene is cleared, and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
