The occupants of a car that plunged 30 metres down a bank this evening have escaped serious injuries.

A police spokeswoman said they received a report at 9.45 pm that a car had gone over a bank on Summit Road, between Worsleys Road and Gebbies Pass Road.

She said the two occupants of the car fortunately only appear to have suffered minor injuries.
