The Walkers Road and Two Chain Road intersection is closed after a serious crash in Rolleston this evening.

A police spokesman said police were called to the three-vehicle crash at 8pm.

Initial indications suggest there are serious injuries and the Serious Crash Unit has been advised.

The intersection is closed, and diversions are in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect delays.
