Police have confirmed a person has died following a crash on SH8/Alexandra-Fruitlands Road, Alexandra, this morning.

The single vehicle crash was reported to Police around 10.50am.

The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.

Motorists are advised to continue taking the alternate route.
