Fire and Emergency services have been called to a garage fire in Aranui this afternoon.

An eyewitness, who was first on the scene, told Chris Lynch she called emergency services just before 3pm.

The fire was on Wimbourne Crescent.

A Fire and Emergency spokeswoman says two fire appliances from Anzac Station and one from the central city station attended.

There was no reports of injuries.

A fire investigator has been called to the scene.

There’s no word yet on how the fire started.
