A person has been assaulted at the Parklands Shopping Centre evening.

A police spokeswoman said the assault happened on Queenspark Drive.

She said the victim returned home following the assault and emergency services were called to their home address.

They have since been transported to hospital.

Enquiries are under way to establish the circumstances of the assault and who was involved.
