Emergency services are at the scene of a serious multi vehicle crash on Main South Road,
Christchurch.

Police were alerted to the crash near Harvard Avenue at approximately 12.20pm.

Police spokesperson said the road is down to one lane and there are significant delays.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and to expect delays.
