Alex’s story: From emaciated to healthy and looking for a home

SPCA officers were called about an emaciated dog in July. What they found broke their hearts.

Inspectors said they had never seen a dog so emaciated that he couldn’t stand or even lift his head.

He looked like a skeleton cloaked in some skin.

But there was a spirit beneath that skin whose strength defied the body it resided in.

And this video shows his amazing recovery thank to team at the SPCA here in Christchurch. 

Alex also needs a forever home.
