A man has been critically injured in a workplace accident this morning in Christchurch.

A police spokeswoman said police were called to an incident at Shivas Place in Bromley at 7.10am.

The accident happened at a tilt slab concrete outfit.

Police were called to the scene and ambulance transported one patient to hospital.

WorkSafe said “it had been notified of an incident in Bromley this morning and are making inquiries.”

A spokesman said “we understand the incident may have involved concrete panels.”
