Two people have been flown to Christchurch hospital following a motorcycle crash in North Canterbury.

A police spokeswoman says emergency services were called to the crash on Hundalee Road State Highway One about 3.35pm.

A St John Ambulance spokesman says two patients have suffered moderate injuries.

Both were flown to Christchurch hospital by helicopter.

The road is open.
