Three men have been arrested following yesterday shooting on Hereford Street.

Police were called about 2pm after reports of a man receiving gunshot wounds.

All three men, two aged 27 and one aged 25, are due to appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow.

A firearm believed to have been used during the incident was also recovered.

Police say the victim remains in hospital today in a stable condition.

Cordons and a scene guard have remained in place overnight.

Police say while no one else is being sought in relation to the shooting, they’re still asking any witnesses to come forward.
