A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after crashing in Harewood this morning,

Emergency services were called to the Syd Bradley Road on-ramp just after 6AM.

St John Ambulance said one ambulance attended the crash and treated a patient at the scene.

The motorcyclist was then transported to Christchurch hospital in a serious condition.
