Christchurch Police are investigating a robbery at the Keyes Road dairy in New Brighton.

A police spokeswoman said the incident was reported to police just before 9am today.

Chris Lynch Media understands four young men stole cigarettes.

The dairy was closed for the rest of the day.

The police spokeswoman said enquiries are underway to establish what has happened.

There were no reports of injury.
