Three people are facing serious drug charges following a police pursuit in Christchurch last night.
A police spokeswoman says a vehicle failed to stop for police about 8.50pm on Johns Road in Belfast, after the occupant had been seen acting suspiciously.
She said a pursuit was initiated, however it was almost immediately abandoned.
Police made follow-up inquiries a short time later at a Belfast property and the vehicle was located, along with an amount of methamphetamine.
Three people were arrested including a 52-year-old man who’s facing charges of obstructing police and assault.
A 26-year-old man is charged with resisting police and supplying and dealing methamphetamine.
And a 29-year-old woman is charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply, possessing an offensive weapon, and resisting Police.
All three are due to appear in the Christchurch District Court today.
