Two men have been seen “handcuffed” outside a property on Straven Road following a police operation this morning.
Witnesses reported seeing Straven Road being blocked off, near Fendalton Road.
Christchurch resident Aaron Galbraith said a police dog squad unit was stationed at Clarence Street.
Witness Sarah Bennett said AOS police officers were “lined up against a fence, with spikes down behind a cars in a driveway on Straven Road.
An ambulance was on Straven Road along with a police special operations vehicle.
A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch the police operation is in relation to a pre-planned search warrant.
A neighbour, who didn’t want to be named said she saw two men handcuffed outside a property on Straven Road.
Police said more details would be released later in the day.
