Canterbury Marching members are devastated after the organisation’s fully loaded trailer was stolen over the weekend.

Secretary Diane Burton said thieves stole the locked trailer which was full of equipment needed to run competitions.

It was stolen between the hours of 8.30pm Friday the 4th September & 7.30am Saturday the 5th September.

“This was in a locked secure area at the Nunweek Park Hockey Turf in Harewood.”

“The thieves cut away an entire section of the security fence, cut off a wheel clamp & padlock also securing this trailer. “

“We incredibly devastated of the theft & worried about how we are going to get our custom made items recovered or replaced before our competitions start next month.”

““Our sport is already suffering from the Covid 19 Restrictions delaying our competitions.”

“Now we are potentially having to delay our season start because someone thinks our property is going to be of more use to them than to our marching membership.”

The trailer is a 2004 White Briford 8×5 Shuttle enclosed trailer. Number plate is E479H.
