WATCH: National’s Hamish Campbell on winning the hotly contested Ilam seat

Hamish Campbell, representing the National Party, secured a resounding victory in the Ilam seat with 15,107 votes, outpacing his nearest rival, Raf Manji, by 6,581 votes. Labour's Sarah Pallett took third with 7,260 votes, and offered some advice to Campbell upon conceding.
