Harts Road in Leeston is closed tonight after a serious crash involving two pedestrians.

Police were called to the Harts and Leeston Roads intersection at around 7.40pm after a report of a vehicle colliding with two pedestrians.

Emergency services are at the scene and there are reports of serious injuries.

The road is closed and motorists are being asked to avoid the area and expect delays.
