Much loved Rangiora Borough School principal Alan John Sutton has died of a heart attack while in Ashburton on Sunday at the age of 66.
On the school’s website it said “it is with much sadness that we share with you the sudden passing of Alan Sutton, our school Principal. Alan has been our School Principal, and previously Deputy Principal, for over 20 years and has contributed much to our wider school, educational and local community.”
“This is extremely sad news and our thoughts are with Alan’s family – Jill, Dean and Stephanie. The school hall is open daily from 10am till 12 noon this week for those who wish to leave flowers or messages.”
“Due to overwhelming support, the service will be lived streamed in the RBS School Hall at the same time. We encourage our school community with children to celebrate Alan’s life at this venue. After the service there will be light refreshments available.”
“Thank you for the amazing support given to the RBS Staff and Alan’s family.”
A Service to Celebrate Alan’s life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Tuesday, January 12, at 2.30pm. Refreshments to follow at the Rangiora R.S.A, 82 Victoria Street, Rangiora.
