One person has been arrested following Police Armed Offenders Squad in Hinds.

Police earlier reported responding to a family harm incident in the mid-Canterbury town of Hinds.

A Police spokeswoman says no one was injured and the Armed Offenders Squad had been called as a precaution.

Diversions were in place at the intersections of SH1 and Delamaine Street, and at the intersection of Swamp Road and SH1.
