An armed police operation is under way in Marshland.

A police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media the operation was the result of a preplanned warrant being executed.

Police were unable to provide further details while the operation remained ongoing.

One witness said at least 14 police units were at the scene on Marshland Road, along with armed police.

Other witnesses described multiple officers surrounding a property.
