Christchurch Police have narrowed down an area of interest in the ongoing search for missing 69-year-old Adele.

Detective Sergeant Luke Vaughan says Adele’s last confirmed sighting was in the Dallington area at around 6.40pm on Monday 15 June.

She has been seen on CCTV footage walking south on Gayhurst Road at the intersection with McBratneys Road.

Adele was wearing a black beanie, grey puffer jacket, a red top and blue jeans, carrying an umbrella and a black PAK’nSAVE bag.

 

“We are now urging residents in the area to please check their properties and notify Police of anything unusual, especially if you are in the Gayhurst Road and Mcbratneys Road areas.

“If you have any backyards, sheds, sleepouts, or anything where a person could seek shelter, please take a look.”

For anyone with CCTV, Police would like you to review any footage you have, especially if your cameras are facing the street from Monday 15 June.

Police and Adele’s family are concerned for her wellbeing and would like to see her return home, says Detective Sergeant Vaughan.

“Any information, no matter how small, may be the key to finding Adele.”
