Multiple police officers were called to a “large gathering” in Prebbleton overnight.

A police spokesperson said they were notified of a large gathering at 9:53 on Trents Road.

One person was treated by ambulance but it was unclear if it was a medical event or injury the spokesman said.

A St John spokeswoman said they notified of an incident on Trents Road and responded an ambulance, a rapid response unit and and a manager to the scene.

“We assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Christchurch hospital in a serious condition.”
