Police ask public for help following three suspicious fires in Christchurch

Police are now investigating three suspicious fires in Christchurch early this morning.

The first was at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses just after 3am.

Crews were then called to the Cardboard Cathedral on Hereford Street around 3.30

The Beach Road Cafe in New Brighton was also set alight just after 5.30.

Police are calling for members of the public to come forward if they have any information in relation

Police and Fire and Emergency staff will be attending all scenes this morning conducting scene examinations.

Anyone who has any information about the fires or was in the area of the fires between the hours of 3am to 6am this morning is urged to contact Police on 105.

Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
