Christchurch Police are appealing to the public to help locate 66-year-old Murray Bennett.

Mr Bennett is 5 foot 11 inches tall, of slim build and has short white hair.

He was last seen wearing a green woollen shirt and blue jeans.

He was last seen near Cathedral Square at 9am this morning and was going to walk to his home in Hillsborough near the Port Hills or to the Botanic Gardens.

Police would like to hear from people that may have seen Mr Bennett at any time throughout the day, please call 105 and quote event number P048312856.
