A motorcyclist has been critically injured in crash with a bus at the Halswell Junction Road roundabout near the Christchurch Southern Motorway in Hornby.
Police were called to the two vehicle crash near Richmond Avenue about 6.30am.
The motorcyclist has been transported to hospital in a critical condition, police said in an update to Chris Lynch Media.

The bus was still at the scene on the side of the road at the roundabout, while the motorcycle was also at the crash site.

The roundabout is open, but motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid the area where possible.
