Police are responding to a crash near the intersection of Waltham Avenue and Moorhouse Avenue in Christchurch.

The crash, involving a vehicle and motorcycle, was reported about 5.15pm.

One person is being treated for injuries and motorists should expect delays while emergency services work at the scene.

A St John spokesperson said they responded with 2 ambulances, 1 operations manager along with a rapid response unit.

One person sustained serious injuries in the crash, the spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media.
