A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a crash on State Highway 8 near Roxburgh.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Fruitlands – Roxburgh Road.

A police spokesperson told said “The crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, who has sustained serious injuries.”

“The road is currently closed and diversions are in place from Roxburgh to Roxburgh Dam,” the spokesperson said.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
