The Pakistan Cricket team is staying silent after it was revealed several players were caught on CCTV breaching managed isolation rules.
The cricketers are on their “final warning” after breaking managed isolation rules in Christchurch.
Six members of the Pakistan men’s cricket team tested positive for COVID-19 at their managed isolation facility at the Chateau on the Park in Christchurch.
Pakistan Cricket team Captain Babar Azam told Chris Lynch members were not allowed to speak to media and referred all questions to the team’s manager Mansoor Rana.
Mr Rana told Chris Lynch he was sorry “but I’m able to speak on this.”
He said he was on the phone to the Pakistan Cricket Board and wasn’t able to discuss matter.
New Zealand Cricket last night said it had been made aware that some members of the Pakistan team had contravened protocols on the first day of managed isolation.
“We will be having discussions with the tourists to assist them in understanding the requirements.”
