Police confirmed a motorcyclist died following a crash on State Highway 1, Burnham, Canterbury last night.

The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, was reported to Police just before 10pm.

The police spokesperson said that the motorcyclist died at the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
