A person has been seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 76 near Selwyn Street in Addington late this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 11 am.

Police have confirmed that detours are in place, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

It is believed the vehicle involved was stolen before crashing into a truck.

The eastbound lane was blocked due to the collision. Traffic delays are expected while emergency crews work to clear the scene.
