A motorcyclist has died in a crash on State Highway 1 near Waipapa Bay this morning.
Police were called to the single vehicle crash at around 10am.
The road is blocked.

NZTA said the crash happened south of the intersection with Waipapa Road.
Chris Lynch Media understands the motorcyclist was travelling with a group of riders when the crash occurred.
Road users are asked to delay their journeys or to use an alternative inland route.
Southbound traffic should use SH63 from Blenheim, turn left onto SH6, left onto SH65, left onto SH7 then right back onto SH1 near Waipara.
The reverse applies for northbound traffic.
