A 27 year old man has been arrested after a suspected stolen vehicle was stopped on Marshland Road on Sunday morning.

Senior Sergeant Craig Ellison told chrislynchmedia.com police were notified at about 9.25am of a suspected stolen vehicle being driven towards the Rangiora area.

He said road spikes were deployed on Spencerville Road before the vehicle came to a stop a short time later on Marshland Road.

The 27 year old occupant was arrested. Ellison said charges would follow.
