An investigation continues after a assault in Rangiora left a man seriously injured.

Police were called to a White Street property about 8.30pm last night after a report of disorder.

They arrived to find a man with serious injuries.

It’s understood he received multiple stab wounds.

A St John ambulance spokesman said the man was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

A scene examination is underway and police are speaking to a number of people.

No arrests have been made.

Police would like hear from anyone who may have information about the incident or those involved.
