Hornby Hub Lotto has strengthened its reputation as one of Christchurch’s luckiest Lotto outlets after selling a Strike Four ticket worth $100,000 in Saturday night’s draw.

The winning Hornby ticket was one of only two Strike Four winners nationwide, with the other sold at Onehunga Mall Superette in Auckland.

Each winner will receive $100,000.

The result adds another significant prize to a growing list of winning tickets sold at Hornby Mall Lotto.

In September 2023, the outlet sold a Lotto First Division ticket worth $500,000 after two players shared the $1 million prize.

The store also sold a Second Division ticket worth $17,786 in June 2024, followed by another Second Division winner worth $19,224 in August that year.

Its winning run continued throughout 2025.

A Hornby Mall Lotto customer won $26,887 with Second Division in April 2025, while another ticket sold there won $17,481 later that month.

The store then sold another Second Division ticket worth $19,161 in June 2025, followed by further Second Division winning tickets later that month and again in December.

Saturday night’s $100,000 result further cements Hornby Mall Lotto’s status as a lucky store for western Christchurch players.

Elsewhere, one player won Lotto First Division and collected $1 million after buying their ticket at Paetiki Lotto Magazines and Post in Taupō.

Powerball was not won and will jackpot to $6 million on Wednesday.

Three players each won $85,272 with Lotto Second Division.

One of those players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total prize to $101,394.

Those tickets were sold at Puhinui Superette in Auckland, Paper Plus Morrinsville and New World Hokitika.

Anyone who bought a ticket from Hornby Mall Lotto is being urged to check it as soon as possible in store, through MyLotto or using the MyLotto app.
