The Wainoni community is gearing up for a day of fun and celebration this Saturday, with a free whānau event set to take place at 250 Pages Road.

Organised by Te Rūnanga o Ngā Maata Waka, the event, titled Whakahauora, Renew, Revive–Reset, aims to bring families together to connect and celebrate in a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere.

Running from 10am to 3pm, the event will feature a range of activities designed to entertain and engage the whole family.

Attendees can look forward to live performances, including a highlight performance by Kōkō Tangiwai at 1:30pm, as well as plenty of opportunities for tamariki to enjoy creative and interactive activities.

Organisers said the event is about fostering community spirit and providing an opportunity for locals to come together in a supportive and welcoming environment. “We want to create a day where whānau can connect, enjoy, and celebrate all that makes this community special,” a spokesperson said.

The day will also feature free food and refreshments for attendees, as well as exciting giveaways throughout the event.

With a focus on celebrating the community and promoting togetherness, the organisers encourage everyone to come along, bring their whānau, and enjoy the festivities.
