Emergency services remain at the scene of a house fire in Dallington.

Fire and Emergency crews were called to the blaze just after 7pm on Ajax Street, near the Palms Shopping Centre.

Three fire appliances and police are still at the scene.

The sole-occupant of the house arrived home late this evening to discover emergency services in front of his property.

His sister, who is at the scene, told Chris Lynch her brother was a bit shocked and alternative accommodation was being arranged.

The house has been extensively damaged.
