Multiple Fire and Emergency crews are at a vegetation fire in Lyttelton.
Emergency services were called to the scene below Sumner Road just before 6PM.
The fire is located just above a large coal pile at the Wharf.
The blaze is being attacked from the ground and from above the fire.
Sumner Road remains open.
