Christchurch police are investigating two separate fleeing incidents overnight and a burglary at commercial premises in Halswell.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media, police were called around 4.15am to a store had been broken into on Hamill Road.

The offenders had already fled the scene and police are making enquiries.

The two flee incidents were between 4am and 5am, both were not pursued due to the nature of driving, the police spokeswoman said.

They were both different vehicles, but police are investigating to determine whether they’re linked.
