Police have arrested a 17-year-old man in relation to the serious assault in Barrington Park on Saturday.

He will appear in the Christchurch Youth Court today.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.

The serious assault occurred in Barrington Park at around 9pm on Saturday.

Police would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time the assault occurred.
