A central Christchurch street has reopened after armed police searched a property for a person of interest.
Armed police surrounded a complex on Barbadoes Street at 5PM.
Barbadoes Street was blocked off between Kilmore Street and Chester Street East.
A police spokesperson said the person of interest was not located and inquiries are ongoing to locate them.
