Riccarton Road closed due to large fire at abandoned mansion

A derelict, heritage-listed mansion on Riccarton Road is on fire again.

Emergency services were called to Antonio Hall at about 7.30PM.

Fire crews at are the scene.

It’s understood the fire is about 80 metres by 20 metres and possibly located in the rear kitchen.

An aerial appliance has been called to the scene.

Riccarton Road has been cordoned off between Ilam and Clyde Roads.

Arsonists have attacked the property several times over the past few years.

An eyewitness at the scene said the fire appeared to be contained.
