A mobile outage disrupted services in parts of the South Island’s West Coast.

Spark said 3G and 4G mobile customers in Karamea were experiencing a loss of Voice, Data & SMS services.

The outage started at 06:42 and services were restored just after 1pm. .

Vodafone said there was “degraded mobile coverage” in Karemea, and in the Glentunnel area.
