Emergency services are at the scene of a large house fire in Christchurch.

A Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said they received multiple calls to the large blaze on Rapaki Road in Hillsborough just after 9AM.
Three fire appliances are at the scene from Woolston, Spreydon and City fire stations.

When the first fire appliance arrived, the house was “well involved.”
A Fire Safety Officer has been called to the scene.
The road has been blocked off by emergency services.
There are no reports of any injuries at this stage.
